航空翻譯主要是為航空領域的一些重要的資料進行翻譯，比如飛行機務、空管等多種航空手冊、資料、文件翻譯服務。
航空一直是一個重要的高新科技產業(yè)，也是現(xiàn)代商務出行，快捷的方式，商務繁榮與航空密不可分。
中國政府始終把航天航空科技作為帶動國家科學技術發(fā)展的重要戰(zhàn)略高技術之一，始終把航天航空產業(yè)作為提升國家綜合國力和國際競爭力、促進國民經濟發(fā)展、維護國家安全的重要戰(zhàn)略性產業(yè)之一。航天航空與計算機、電子技術、自動控制等行業(yè)有著密切的聯(lián)系，因此航天航空翻譯要求比較高。
專業(yè)的譯員一直是航空航天翻譯、民航翻譯行業(yè)的一個軟肋，航空翻譯要求要有過硬的外文能力，同時更重要的是要有專業(yè)背景做為知識儲備。但是現(xiàn)實情況是，擁有過硬外文能力的人，一般在電子、機械類方面的知識相對較弱，并且學習起來相對較難。而擁有專業(yè)知識的人，在語言類的能力相對較弱，這就導致了航空專業(yè)譯員的相對欠缺。
譯聲翻譯在專業(yè)譯員配備方面，相比于其他全領域翻譯公司有很大的優(yōu)勢和無可比擬的資源術語庫。有20多名專職的航空翻譯譯員，所有譯員都是航空科班出身，并且英語等外文能力都很強，譯員的英語能力都通過CET6考試，并都在500分以上。
在航空翻譯資料中，經常會遇到一些需要注意的問題；在此譯聲翻譯公司總結航空翻譯問題如下：
語法方面：
1、中文符號和英文符號：中譯英或者英譯中，可能會疏忽一些符號，比如英文的句號和中文的句號，中文的頓號對應英文的逗號等等，這個需要注意。
2、簡潔明了，常用的句型以及句子組織方式：中譯英，要符合英文的語法，以及英文語句習慣，不要出現(xiàn)中文式的英文句型。
航空專業(yè)詞匯方面：
1、不要使用非常用詞匯：如果使用非常用詞匯，會讓人感覺很突兀，航空詞匯很多是力求簡潔明了，恰到好處，翻譯航空技術材料時，需要注意不要“文采化”，語句不要翻譯得好像在看風景一樣；在翻譯航空公司管理、政策等內容時，力求精準。
2、固定專有詞匯：比如翻譯到ICAO附件，有的譯員喜歡翻譯成appendix，但查查ICAO英文文件，是annex；航空詞匯，有很多固定用法，這也是波音、空客、龐巴迪等等飛機制造商以及航空組織、單位在幾十年的手冊編寫、修改中長期形成的，俗話說，隔行如隔山，這也是航空翻譯獨特的一方面。
