在中，專利說明書正文翻譯通常分為三大部分：引言、發(fā)明描述和具體實施方案。引言（Introduction）陳述該發(fā)明的目的、所屬技術領域、目前的技術狀況和存在的問題；發(fā)明描述（Description of the  Invention）陳述該發(fā)明的技術詳情、方法和效果，使同行中等水平的技術人員可以做出來；具體實施方案（Embodiment）舉例說明該發(fā)明的最佳實施方案，要有2-3個實例，這是說明書中陳述技術細節(jié)最詳盡具體的部分，因而是技術情報檢索者閱讀之重點所在。

的內(nèi)容是保護科技發(fā)明權的法律文件，不同于，故其翻譯內(nèi)容對發(fā)明的細節(jié)充分公開，以求法律的保護。而對發(fā)明的理論問題，則簡而略之，甚或只字不提。對學術研究者，常感美中不足。下面是一件專利說明書正文的翻譯對照。

PROCESS FOR RECOVERING PRECIOUS

This invention relates to a proces of recovering metals from dilute aqueous solutions of metal salts by contacting a dilute aqueous solution containing dissolved metals with a fibrous proteinaceous material of animal origin.  In one of its more specific aspects, this invention relates to a process for recovering precious metals and base metals from an aqu-cons liquid containing one or more of such metals in solu-tion by contacting said aqueous liquid with a proteinaceous substance selected from the group consisting of feathers, hair,hoof meal and horn meal.

Industrial' waste waters often contain various’metals which for ecological or economical reasons it would be desirableto recover or remove from the water.  It is known, for example, that large quantities of gold and other valuable metals are contained in sea water, but, up until the present time at least, there has been no economic method for recovering it.
Many industrial waste waters contain dissolved salts of such economicaly important metals as platinum, rhodium, pala-dium, ruthenium, iridium, gold, and silver, as wel as basemetals, such as zinc, aluminum, iron, copper, tin, and nickel.
Such dissolved metals are present as anions as wel as in the form of anionic complexes and are contained in wastes, suchas spent plating liquors and refinery waste solutions.

貴重金屬回收法

本發(fā)明是一種自金屬鹽類的稀溶液中回收金屬的方法。這種方法是將動物性的纖維狀蛋白質材料與含有溶解了的金屬的稀水溶液相接觸。本發(fā)明的特點是;本法可自含有一種或數(shù)種金屬的水溶液中回收貴金屬和賤金屬，只需將上述水溶液與蛋白質物質相接觸即可。蛋白質物質選自羽毛、毛發(fā)、蹄粉和角粉。

工業(yè)廢水常含各種金屬。為了維護生態(tài)和經(jīng)濟核算，自廢水中回收和除去全屬是很必要的。舉例來說，如所周知，海水中含有大量的金和其他貴重金屬，但時至今日尚無一種經(jīng)濟的方法予以回收。許多工業(yè)廢水中含有經(jīng)濟價值很高的金屬鹽類，如鉑、銘、把、釘、銥、金和銀，以及賤金屬，如鋅、鋁、鐵銅、錫和鎳。這些已溶解的金屬以陰離子和陰離子絡合物的形式存在于廢液中，如廢電鍍液及精煉廠廢液中。
