1.己所不欲，勿施于人。

　　Don't　impose　on　others　what　you　dont　desire.

　　2.性相近也，習(xí)相遠(yuǎn)也。

　　By nature, men are nearly alike; by practice, they get to be wide apart.

　　3.子曰：吾十有五而志于學(xué)，三十而立，四十而不惑，五十而知天命，六十而耳順，七十而從心所欲，不逾矩。

　　The Master said, "At fifteen I set my heart upon learning. At thirty, I planted my feet firm upon the ground. At forty, I no longer suffered from perplexities ( 困惑;窘困). At fifty, I knew what were the biddings (命令，吩咐) of Heaven. At sixty, I heard them with docile (馴順的，馴良的) ear. At seventy, I could follow the dictates(聽從...支配) of my own heart; for what I desired no longer overstepped (逾越) the boundaries of right."

　　4.子曰：賢哉回也!一簞食，一瓢飲，在陋巷，人不堪其憂，回也不改其樂。賢哉回也!

　　The Master said, "incomparable (無比的，無雙的) indeed was Hui! A handful of rice to eat, a gourdful (一葫蘆的量) of water to drink, living in a mean street. Others would have found it unendurably (難忍受地，不可容忍地) depressing, but to Hui's cheerfulness it made no difference at all. Incomparable indeed was Hui!"

　　5.有教無類。

　　In teaching there should be no distinction of classes.

　　6.當(dāng)仁，不讓于師。

　　When it comes to benevolence (仁愛心), one need not give precedence even to his teacher.

　　7.學(xué)而不思則罔，思而不學(xué)則怠。

　　To learn without thinking is labour in vain (徒勞),to think without learning is desolation.

　　8.子曰：學(xué)而時習(xí)之，不亦悅乎?有朋自遠(yuǎn)方來，不亦樂乎?人不知而不慍，不亦君子乎?

　　The Master said, "to learn and at due times to repeat what one has learned, is that not after all a pleasure? That friends should come to one from afar, is this not after all delightful? To remain unsoured even though one's merits are unrecognized by others, is that not after all what is expected of a gentleman?"

　　9.工欲善其事，必先利其器。

　　A craftsman who wishes to do his work well must first sharpen his tools.

　　10.言必信，行必果。

　　Keep what you say and carry out what you do.

　　11.欲速則不達(dá)，見小利則大事不成。

　　If you have things done hastily, you will not reach the goal. If you only see small gains,you will not accomplish great tasks.

　　12.君子以文會友，以友輔任。

　　The superior man on grounds of culture meets with his friends, and by their friendship helps his virtue.

　　13.巧言令色，鮮矣仁。

　　Those who are glib (油腔滑調(diào)) in their speech and wear an ingratiating (迎合的) expression have little benevolence (仁愛心) about them.

　　14.溫故而知新，可以為師矣。

　　Exploring the old and deducing the new makes a teacher.
