LETTER OF INTENT ON PROFESSOR EMPLOYMENT

　　聘任方(甲方)：大學(xué)Employer(Party A): University

　　受聘方(乙方)：Employee(Party B):

　　為進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)千人計(jì)劃的管理，切實(shí)引進(jìn)海外高層次人才，經(jīng)甲乙雙方協(xié)商一致，特制定本協(xié)議。

　　In order to strengthen the management over Plans for One Thousand Talents Program and make concrete efforts to introduce overseas high-level talents, Party A and Party B have reached a consensus on issues relating to Plans for One Thousand Talents Program (A Program for Young Talents) through consultation:

　　一、預(yù)期工作目標(biāo)The Objective of Intent

　　甲乙雙方擬通過(guò)國(guó)家千人計(jì)劃引才平臺(tái)建立長(zhǎng)久及親密的合作關(guān)系，共同致力于人才培養(yǎng)、學(xué)科發(fā)展、實(shí)驗(yàn)室建設(shè)以及科研團(tuán)隊(duì)的構(gòu)建。合作的學(xué)科和研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)椋?。

　　Both parties to contract plan to maintain long-term intimate cooperative ties on the Platform of the Introduction of Talents of National Plans for One Thousand Talents Program, working together to cultivate talents, promote the development of disciplines, and strengthen the construction of laboratories and research groups. Both parties are going to strengthen their cooperation in the disciplines and research areas as follows:

　　二、工作內(nèi)容The Contents of Cooperation

　　1. 甲乙雙方約定，一旦乙方通過(guò)評(píng)審成功入選千人計(jì)劃，則甲方聘請(qǐng)乙方為千人計(jì)劃青年項(xiàng)目特聘教授。乙方全職來(lái)甲方開(kāi)展工作。

　　2.

　　甲方保證為乙方順利完成聘期目標(biāo)和任務(wù)提供良好的工作和生活條件，乙方負(fù)責(zé)完成聘期工作目標(biāo)和任務(wù)，接受甲方的考核與監(jiān)督。

　　1. Based on the agreement and the approval, once being involved in Plans for One Thousand Talents Program (A Program for Young Talents), Party B will be employed by Party A as a full-time distinguished professor.

　　2. Party A must provide good working and living conditions for Party B, ensuring Party B’s successful achievement of goal and fulfillment of tasks in the employment period. Party B takes responsibility for achieving the goal and fulfilling the tasks in the employment period. Party A takes responsibility for evaluating and supervising the performance of Party B.

　　三、雙方權(quán)利與義務(wù)Rights and Obligations of Both Parties

　　(一)甲方為乙方提供良好的工作和生活條件:

　　1.甲方為乙方提供必要的實(shí)驗(yàn)室工作用房，并將乙方所需購(gòu)置的大型科研儀器設(shè)備納入甲方學(xué)科建設(shè)經(jīng)費(fèi)中解決。

　　2.甲方在聘期內(nèi)分年度為乙方提供開(kāi)展科研工作必需的科研經(jīng)費(fèi)。

　　3.甲方在團(tuán)隊(duì)建設(shè)、研究生招生、重大科研項(xiàng)目申請(qǐng)等方面給予指導(dǎo)、支持和傾斜，并為乙方團(tuán)隊(duì)成員提供工作崗位。

　　4.甲方為乙方提供國(guó)家、湖北省以及甲方學(xué)校相關(guān)政策規(guī)定的待遇。

　　(1)Party A must provide good working and living conditions for Party B:

　　1. Party A must provide laboratories for Party B to work in, and give financial support to Party B to buy large research facilities by making use of funding for disciplinary development.

　　2. Party A must provide an amount of research funding for Party B to do research work in consecutive years during the employment period.

　　3. Party A must give guidance, support and priority to Party B in many respects, including the construction of research groups, the enrollment of postgraduates and the application of key research projects, and provide posts for the members of Party B’s research group.

　　4. Party B’s welfare is regulated by relevant policies of all levels, namely, China, Hubei Province and Party A CUG.

　　(二)乙方義務(wù)：Obligations of Party B:

　　1.乙方保證聘期內(nèi)完成正式合同中由甲乙雙方協(xié)商確定的工作目標(biāo)和工作任務(wù)。

　　2.乙方保證按照千人計(jì)劃的相關(guān)要求，承諾自入選千人計(jì)劃后半年內(nèi)到崗，保證全職來(lái)甲方工作。

　　3.乙方在受聘崗位上所取得的教學(xué)、科研成果之歸屬權(quán)屬于甲方。

　　1. During the employment period, Party B must achieve the goal and fulfill the tasks specified in the contract.

　　2. In terms of the relevant policies of Plans for One Thousand Talents Program, Party B must make a promise that once being involved in Plans for One Thousand Talents Program, he will start work in half a year, and he will work in CUG full-time.

　　3. During the employment period, the intellectual property rights of Party B’s teaching and research fruits belong to Party A.

　　四、乙方正式入選千人計(jì)劃后，甲乙雙方再就具體工作目標(biāo)與任務(wù)、聘期時(shí)間、薪酬待遇、科研經(jīng)費(fèi)等合同細(xì)節(jié)協(xié)商一致并簽訂正式聘任合同。

　　Based on the approval of Party B’s membership of National Plans for One Thousand Talents Program, both parties will firstly reach an agreement on the specific goal and working tasks, the employment period, salary and welfare, and research funding, and then sign a formal contract.

　　五、本協(xié)議及正式聘任合同以千人計(jì)劃政策為依據(jù)，若國(guó)家相關(guān)政策法規(guī)調(diào)整，導(dǎo)致與本協(xié)議及聘任合同內(nèi)容不一致的，按國(guó)家政策法規(guī)執(zhí)行。

　　The Letter of Intent and the formal contract are both formulated on the grounds of the relevant policies of Plans for One Thousand Talents Program. Whenever the contents of the Letter of Intent and the formal contract turn out to be different from the relevant national policies and regulations due to a few adjustments made in the policies and regulations, both parties should act in accordance with the relevant national policies and regulations.

　　六、本協(xié)議有效期一年。The agreement is valid for one year.

　　七、如雙方簽訂正式聘任合同，則本協(xié)議自動(dòng)終止。

　　If both parties sign a formal contract, the agreement will terminate.

　　八、未盡事宜，雙方協(xié)商處理。因執(zhí)行本協(xié)議所產(chǎn)生的糾紛，應(yīng)由中華人民共和國(guó)司法機(jī)關(guān)依據(jù)中華人民共和國(guó)法律裁決。

　　Other issues should be settled by both parties through negotiation. All the disputes arise out of the performance of the Letter of Intent, should be adjudicated by the judicial organs of the People’s Republic of China in accordance with the law of China.

　　九、本協(xié)議自甲、乙雙方蓋章，代表人簽字之日起生效。

　　The agreement takes effect immediately after legal representatives sign and both parties stamp on it.

　　十、本協(xié)議一式叁份，具有同等約束力，甲乙雙方各執(zhí)一份，另一份交上級(jí)主管部門(mén)備案。

　　The agreement has been written in triplicate which shall be equally binding upon both parties. The two parties both have one identical copy of the agreement. Another copy shall be filed with the competent authority at a higher level.
